Meet the people behind LeftClick.
Alan Cox
Managing Director
Alan Cox is founder of LeftClick Ltd, New Zealand’s only company specializing in achieving more leads and sales from e-business and e-commerce websites. Alan has been practising customer-centric design for well over a decade.
His no-nonsense approach to website optimization has resulted in staggering increases in conversion rates and award wins with some of the big names in internet retailing both here in New Zealand and overseas.
Outside of work, Alan is a father of three, a keen cyclist, loves good coffee and has trained in barista skills.
Alex Suggate
General Manager
Alex is in charge of LeftClick’s research, design and development arms. She has a passion for efficiency (which translates to a hate of wastage!) and is focussed on securing the best possible outcome for LeftClick’s customers, whatever services they require. She challenges her teams to make processes repeatable and reliable without stifling innovation. Although born and raised in Sydney, she has a second home in Christchurch.
Starting her career while studying fulltime, Alex has ten years experience with customer service and sales. She graduated from Canterbury University with a distinction average in Commerce, and has since accumulated several years experience in startup planning, business ownership, project, promotions and merchandise management and charity fundraising. Alex is fascinated by the business processes underlying website consultancy.
Alex strives to create an environment for her staff that is comfortable, inspires creativity and encourages collaboration. When not working, Alex loves travel to faraway lands, exercise at the gym, walks, reading and yoga.
Jules Suggate
Technical Manager
Jules focuses on delivery of high-quality software that delivers real business value to LeftClick’s customers.
Jules has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury. He has five years web development experience in Christchurch, Sydney and New York, working on sites driving e-commerce, internet banking, community, hedge-fund administration and loan origination, among others. Jules also owned and operated his own business for two years. As Development Manager at LeftClick, Jules is responsible for ensuring that any software required by our customers gets built or sourced in a robust and timely fashion.
Jules is adapting Agile methods (especially Scrum) for end-to-end use by LeftClick. Outside of work, Jules loves travelling to exotic destinations, or groks the city with long walks, writing and yoga.
Sally Cox
Office Manager
Sally is an experienced project manager with a background in the electronics and construction industries.
Sally project manages the team, manages our accounts and deals with the general office administration.
Sally has three children at school. When not helping with school or after school activities, she can be found in the garden or walking the dog Alfie.
Matt Sanders
Customer Experience Specialist
Matty is one of LeftClick’s customer research and user experience specialists. He loves people-watching, and now gets to do it for his job.
After completing a science degree from the University of Auckland, he travelled to Holland and worked in a Japanese restaurant. Returning to Auckland and following a series of fortunate coincidences he found himself active in the Auckland chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association, and spent the next few years working for Air New Zealand, RHE & Associates, and Datacom, practising user-centred design, before coming to Christchurch.
Matty’s loves include feijoas, snowboarding, reading books by great authors like Elizabeth Knox and Salman Rushdie, munching cupcakes, and watching films starring Meryl Streep.
Matt Powell
Designer/Developer
Matt specialises in creating designs that rapidly increase the success of our clients’ websites.
Matt has a background in web development and a lifelong passion for design. He has an Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, and spent some time in postgraduate research there before leaving to pursue a career in design.
Matt has a keen eye for detail and can often be seen correcting misplaced apostrophes. Outside of work, he enjoys writing, drawing, acting and dancing, and is a member of the Court Jesters and Latin Fire.
Simone Quentin de Manson
Web Interface Designer
Simone is one of Left Click’s interface designers. She likes creating websites that are sexy, easy to use and make lots of money for the client.
Simone’s background in design began at Massey University in Wellington, where she completed her Visual Communication degree specialising in interactivity and computer graphics in 2003. After that, she moved back to Christchurch to start her career in web design and weekend madness.
In her spare time, Simone enjoys mountain biking, tramping, climbing and snowboarding. Her creative bent is spent taking photos, sewing and painting.
Toby Cox
Developer
Toby is one of LeftClick’s Web Developers, with the task of with turning LeftClick’s interface designs into solid, reliable code.
Toby has an Honours degree in Computer Science from Canterbury university, and an addiction to all things technology related.
He loves music and going crazy new places. When Toby isn’t elbow deep in code, you’ll mostly likely find him and his friends doing something involving Dim Sum and an Xbox.

E61 has proven herself to be an indispensible member of the LeftClick team, providing the raw materials necessary to keep the design process buzzing.
E61 always seems to know how to get our creative juices flowing. She has an excellent rapport with every member of the team, and is always there to welcome our clients when they come to visit.
She eats only the finest Fair Trade beans from Underground.
